Introducing: Puracy, our new cleaning product supplier

VERY jazzed to introduce Puracy who will be filling the shoes left by Biokleen when they were acquired by a less sustainable company this past fall. We now have Puracy dish soap, laundry detergent, all purpose cleaner, hand soap, and once we’re out of Bac-Out, we’ll have their stain and odor remover too. Why are we so excited about Puracy? Read on:

  • This collaboration is a direct result of our collective purchasing power influencing the market. I first reached out to Puracy in my initial round of researching suppliers for Cleenland in spring 2019. They said, we love the idea, it’s in line with our values, but we don’t manufacture in bulk yet and you’d need to order xyz minimum quantities for it to make sense to experiment. I couldn’t meet the minimum order so I moved on. When Biokleen’s acquisition in late September sent me looking for a new supplier, several visitors reminded me about Puracy. I got back in touch and now, just six months after opening, our orders exceed the minimum quantities and Puracy is piloting a bulk program with us. As a direct result of our collective action, a company big enough to be in Targets all over the country, a #1 best seller on Amazon, is moving in a more sustainable direction.

  • Puracy’s values align with ours. A bulk program is a natural progression of Puracy’s commitment to reducing packaging waste — almost all retail soap refill pouches are 32 fl oz while Puracy’s are 64 fl oz! Puracy’s liquid laundry detergent is twice as concentrated as Biokleen’s. They have a whole section of their website dedicated to explaining the safe, high-quality ingredients they use. All Puracy products are cruelty-free as certified by PETA and Leaping Bunny.

  • Made in Massachusetts. Puracy is based in Texas, but all these products are manufactured near us. Fewer emissions, lower cost, and less waiting! Wins all around.

  • These products work. Last but not least! As always, we’ve tested everything to make sure they work as advertised. Check!
